How
to start with your traffic.
Minimal
configuration (LCR, A-Z)
- Creating your
Vendor (Supplier, Carrier).
Vendor
– is the company who is selling destinations and routes to you.
- Go to “Customers/Vendors”
menu and click on “New Vendor” to add your first supplier.
- Put a name of your
vendor near “Name*” field and click “Create”.
- You will see
“Successful creation” notification. Go to “Tariff Plans”
tab and click on “New tariff plan” to upload a price-list of
your supplier.
- Put a name for
tariff plan and click on “Create”.
- You will see
“Successful creation” notification. You can manually add some
codes and prices or you can use “Upload from file to current
ratesheet” tool to upload from file.
Just follow the format on web to upload your rates from file.
To manually add some
codes and prices just click on the active sheet which is highlighted
with green, then click on “New price”. Put code and price and
click “Create”.
2.
Create the Terminator of your Vendor.
Terminator
– is the outbound traffic point from Softswitch to your Vendor's
GW.
- Go to
“Terminators” menu OR you can use tab “Terminators” in your
Vendor after clicking on your Vendor's name in “Vendors” menu.
- Click on “New
terminator” to add your first terminator.
- Fill the “Name”
and same to “Tag” fields, then click on “Create”. Please
note the “Vendor” and “Tariff plan” drop-down lists already
filled with needed info you created before in p.1
- Click on “Create”.
- You should see
“Successful creation” notification and few more tabs. Click on
“Addresses” tab, then on “New address”.
- Enter the
IP-address of your Vendor's GW near “Host(s)” window, select
“Proto” in drop-down list below, change “Port” if needed.
Please note: default port for h.323 is 1720, and for sip – 5060.
Click on “Create”.
Congratulations!
Your are ready for sending traffic to your Carrier!
Now
lets see how to add your Customer.

Creating your Customer.
Customer – is the
company who is buying destinations and routes from you.
- Go to “Customers”
menu and click on “New Customer” to add your customer.
- Fill the “Name”
field with the name of your customer, click “Create”.
- Add a price-list
for your Customer. Go to main page and click on “Tariff Plans”,
then click on “New tariff plan”, put a “Name” and click
“Create”.
- You will see
“Successful creation” notification, then you can manually add
some codes and prices or you can use “Upload from file to current
ratesheet” tool to upload from file.
Just follow the
instructions to upload your rates from file.
To manually add some
codes and prices just click on the active sheet which is highlighted
with green, then click on “New price”. Put code and price and
click “Create”. Please note: the prices in this tariff plan
should be higher than the prices in vendor's price list you created
before.
4.
Preparing the routing (simple LCR, AZ price-based routing).
- Click on “Routes Tables”,
“New table”. Put the name, un-check “Use default routes”
flag, select “Default routes rule” under “Route's rule”
drop-down list, then click on “Create”.
- Open “Build Rules” tab and
click on “New Rule”. Select the terminator you created before,
click “Create”. You will get the notification about successful
creation.
5. Create the
Originator of your Customer.
Originator
– is the inbound traffic point at your Softswitch.
- Go to
“Originators” menu OR you can use tab “Originators” in your
Customer after clicking on your Customer's name in “Customers”
menu.
- Fill the “Name”
and same to “Tag” fields. Select the route table you created
before. Please note the “Customer” and “Tariff plan”
drop-down lists already filled with needed info you created before
in p.3
- Click on “Create”.
- You should see
“Successful creation” notification and few more tabs. Click on
“Addresses” tab, then on “New address”.
- Enter the
IP-address of your Customer's GW near “Host(s)” window and
click on “Create”.
- Press “Reload
Config” button at the top-right side of the web-interface.
Congratulations!
Now you are ready for traffic exchange!
